INCREASING ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS TO MAKE VARIOUS Snacks NUTRITIONAL SCHOOL FOR WONOAYU VETERAN EXTRAORDINARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

PKM ACTIVITIES – In an effort to empower Outer School students Ordinary (SLB) Veteran Wonoayu, D4 Culinary Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies Surabaya State University (Unesa) is holding skills training entrepreneurship in community service activities carried out Friday 15 November 2024. This activity aims to provide provisions skills for SLB students to be able to make various healthy snacks worth selling. The training was carried out on the school grounds enthusiastically attended by approximately 30 students, combined theory and practice of making healthy snacks with simple ingredients easily available in the area around the school.

This activity involves students and lecturers from the Program D4 Culinary Studies as a facilitator. They teach students how making non-wheat flour products in the form of black sticky rice brownies and closed pastels Potatoes with various vegetable fillings with a simple method. "We wants SLB students to not only have cooking skills, but also understand "business potential from the products they make," said the Principal of SLB Veteran, Mrs. Yulistiani.

Not only honing cooking skills, this training also teaches students about the importance of cleanliness, product packaging, and interesting way of marketing. "We hope students can sell products them in the surrounding environment or even through social media," said Salah one supervising teacher. The enthusiasm of the students can be seen from their enthusiasm for following every stage of the training, from processing the ingredients to tasting the results own cooking.

This collaboration is clear evidence of the world's contribution education in supporting the independence of students with special needs. Head of SLB Wonoayu veteran, Mrs. Yulistiani, expressed her appreciation to the D4 Study Program FV Unesa Culinary for this initiative. "We hope this training will be The first step for our students to be entrepreneurial and more confident facing the future," he said. In the future, the school and Unesa plans to expand this program to include more students and types other relevant skills.
